Origami Creations - Fascinating Whale Shark

I was trying to make an origami design for a whale shark for a long while.  This is due to a wonderful experience encounter as I have blogged here.

Finally, I got the chance to find a whale shark origami model from one of my good friend Shunichi Ashimura.

Cool proportions
It's not quite perfect but I very much enjoyed this piece ...  a flood of wonderful memories feels my heart to the brim.

Have a great week!

Origami Fold - Awesome Blue Shark by John Montroll

Finally got the opportunity to fold a John Montroll model ... the much loved and talked about Blue Shark from his book Origami Sea Life.

John is a famous American master origami artist and a prolific author.  Check out his wiki here to learn more about this great guy and savor the list of origami books he has published!

Here are my folds of the Blue Shark.

Really a great model to fold and a challenge to shape.  Will surely try this again with a better paper next time.

Have a great week!
