Origami Creations - Cute Plumpy Mouse

I always find it difficult to use wet folding to properly shape my origami creations.  The models by vietnamese origamist Hoang Tien Quyet is really a challenge and for today I decided to do one.

Great snout and posturing
It takes a lot of patience and clipping to get the desired shape and hopefully I did this piece justice.

Here is the tutorial for this model.

Enjoy!

Origami Creations - The Best Fox of All!

I finally had the opportunity to try folding Hoang Tien Quyet's lovely fox.  He is a famous vietnamese origamist.  Check out his awesome works here

This is my first try ...

Sleek and Cool
Not quite satisfied with this fold as it is a bit complicated and requires a lot of shaping (curve folds) technique.   I really have to to try and learn wet-folding so to be able to sculpt my model beautifully.

For people who are interested to try it, a video tutorial is available below:

Happy folding!

Origami Creations - Love for Birds

My first origami was the flapping bird and since then my love for folding birds always stayed with me.  In fact, the traditional origami crane (ιΆ΄ tsuru), a bird, was made an icon to represent this art form.

Here I made a special origami crane.  Its 4 birds connected on their beaks.

Below is a photo diagram on the major challenging steps to making them.

From top to bottom.

I have also prepared a video below for your viewing pleasure:

Here are some  of the origami birds that I folded.
