I am not really good in shaping and was only using Kami paper but I enjoy making these animal.  The design actually grew from my CNY Red Packet creation.

Origami Design - Red Packet for Chinese New Year of the Monkey

Finally created my first ori-design for 2016 and it is for the biggest celebration in the Chinese community - Chinese Lunar New Year!  

And for the year of the Red Monkey, here is a unique, fun and simple red packet envelope which you can use to put in your lucky money to give to family and friends.

Simple & No gluing required

This is my design gift to the Origami and the Chinese community!  

Fortunately, I have the support and kind assistance of Ms. Jenny Chan of Origami Tree to make a video tutorial.  She has also included this model in her blog.
